If you are a Gramsure.social, I’m sure you are familiar with some of these tags. One in particular is directly related to Twitter. In all fairness, it did create the foundation for the site after all. Why are these being used by everyone?
Why Do Hastags Matter?
For the most part, Social media sites are to become part of the community. Everyone these days have a mobile phone with a camera on it. Instagram couldn’t have came at a better time. When a user creates a profile they are told to attach a description with the photo they upload. This will give you the opportunity to type about 20 or 30 tags on each one. Use some of the space for a nice description an if any is left type a tag. Find more popular tags from web.stagram.com/hot/.
As you consistently incorporate them into the picture you gain access to a wider audience. Outside your following are other users who don’t know you exist. When they click the hashtag there is a much higher change of your pics being seen. Beware of making your own. It will not help you at all unless others use it as well. Even if it goes viral, you would need your name or brand in the tag for you to capitalize on it.
How A Trend Changes
Once you realize that the community is based on the content provided by the user, you will begin to understand how a trend is formed. Just because it is trending now does not mean it will last. For instance, when a sport is in the finals. That trending tag is short lived because is becomes irrelevant as time passes. The most popular tag has reigned king for some time now. #LOVE has taken the #1 spot for over a years straight.
